Dance Journey

Ashlyn started dancing at a young age. As she grew up, she enjoyed the challenge of learning new styles, mastering new tricks, and pushing the boundaries of movement.

When it came time to start thinking about college, Ashlyn couldn't imagine her life without dance and decided to study dance at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. Here she learned to view dance through a critical lens and was introduced to the idea of alignment based movement. 

After graduation, Ashlyn moved to Nashville where she's found success as a performer, choreographer, and educator. She's performed and choreographed with Blue Moves Modern Dance Company, Project Awake, and a myriad of freelance projects that range from flash mob proposals to music video launch parties to Prince tribute performances.
